June 2018 Report

The unemployment rate in Kern County was 8.7  percent in June 2018, up from a revised 7.7 percent in May 2018, and below the year-ago estimate of 9.2 percent. This compares with an unadjusted unemployment rate of 3.7 percent for California and 3.6 percent for the nation during the same period.

Y-o-Y, May 2018 saw an increase of 1,600 total jobs.
