June 2019 Report
The unemployment rate in Kern County was 8.0 percent in June 2019, up from a revised 7.2 percent in May 2019, and below the year-ago estimate of 8.4 percent. This compares with an unadjusted unemployment rate of 4.1 percent for California and 3.8 percent for the nation during the same period.
Y-o-Y, May 2019 saw an increase of 8,600 total jobs.
