December 2018 Report

The unemployment rate in Kern County was 7.6 percent in December 2018, up from a revised 6.6 percent in November 2018, and below the year-ago estimate of 8.4 percent. This compares with an unadjusted unemployment rate of 4.1 percent for California and 3.7 percent for the nation during the same period.

Y-o-Y, December 2018 saw an increase of 6,700 total jobs.
